🔯DC Bongaigaon directs quick completion of rural development projects

📝Bongaigaon: 26th July : A review meeting on Panchayat and Rural Development was held on 26th July,2021 chaired by Dr. M S Lakshmi Priya, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Bongaigaon in the conference hall in presence of Nadira Jesmin, Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad ,Bongaigaon, District Programme Officer, NRLM, BDOs and other officials.

       The Deputy Commissioner emphasised on MGNREGS( Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employement Guarenttee Scheme),an output oriented scheme which will help in asset creation in the rural areas by proper utilization of fund received on alloted schemes.The Deputy Commissioner enquired of job card holders and progress of ongoing works.Dr. Lakshmi Priya also emphasised on maximum women participation under MGNREGS to bridge the gap between man and woman employment.The Deputy Commissioner focused on encouraging rain water harvesting in Development Blocks under Natural Resource Management.She also emphasised to ensure no delay or stop of payment for technical issues by the Block Development Officers.

The Deputy Commissioner Dr. Lakshmi Priya also emphasised on improvement on ongoing PMAY( G)works. GRS should place the demands timely and  timely upload of them by MIS operators also should be ensured-says the Deputy Commissioner.

      Dr. Lakshmi Priya asks  the Chief Executive Officer to follow up the ongoing works on daily basis.

       In case of National Family Benefit Scheme under National Social Assistance Program( NSAP) the Deputy Commissioner has come up with a solution for sanctioning those beneficiaries who are having BPL issues as-

to verify on the basis of AAY card,PMAY(G) beneficiaries, recepients of Ujjala Gas  or certificate by respective BDOs.🔯
