🔯Deputy Chief Executive Officer reviewed Bankers performance on PMEGP in Bongaigaon

🔯Bongaigaon,Feb 10 : Yesterday evening a review meeting on Bankers performance on PMEGP in Bongaigaon district was held in the conference hall of office of the Deputy Commissioner.The review meeting was chaired by Bhaskar Das, District Development Commissioner, Bongaigaon. Dr.Sukamal Deb, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, NEZ in-charge Cell,Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Government of India reviewed performance of Bankers on PMEGP. Mr. Deb discussed with every Branch Manager of Banks in Bongaigaon namely State Bank of India, Indian Bank,UCO Bank, Kanara Bank, Bandhan Bank, IDBI, Bank of Baroda, Central Bank of India, Bank of India, Apex Bank, Panjab National Bank, Federal Bank, North-East Small Finance Bank, Indian Oversees Bank, Union Bank and Bank of Maharastra attended in the meeting.Mr Sukamal Deb asked the Bankers to enhance the performance on PMEGP in the district.Because PMEGP is a flagship Scheme of Government of India for self-employment of unemployed youths by sanctioning a loan for income generation in the field of Industry.

He asked the Bankers to motivate the youths if necessary so that the aim of the Scheme may be achieved.Unemployment is a burning problem in the country where Government jobs are limited.He asked Major(Retired) Dhruvajit Roy,General Manager,District Industry and Commerce Centre,Bongaigaon also to motivate the youths and to do the needfull in case of Bankers.The General Manager,DICC should rationalize the numbers of applications in sending to Banks on PMEGP.The Bankers should not see the numbers of applications but to count in amount of money in sanctioning the PMEGP loans.Mr. Sukamal Deb informed that there is no shortage of Margin Money i.e.subsidy and he was eager to increase the Margin Money if necessary.Mr. Deb,the Deputy Chief Executive Officer requested the chairman to take necessary steps to enhance the performance of concerned officers and Bankers in case of PMEGP.🔯
